Being young and fragile
Yearned all day to be vagile
Tied to a pole well-secured
Trampled up and down to be lured.
Am I alone, or does anyone care
All passers-by send me a glare
Until one day, I was caught by sight
His tender gaze sets in me a light
Felt a radiant flow through my spine
The moment his fingers ran on mine.
I longed to embrace His bosom
But would he to me so flawsome.
Days passed by morning and night
Lingered to see him with all my might
Then came two men from nowhere
To take me to a place somewhere.
Scared and trembling, I clung to my mother
Not knowing how much farther.
I stopped with joy as I saw the One,
Leaving my mum, I leaped and spun
Then, to my surprise I was draped in bright attire
Never once have I felt in life entire
On my back was the King
My life changed in a blink
Riding through the roads of Jerusalem
He blessed his people with Shalem.
