I don’t really know how it happened. One second I was lying on my bed, thinking about life and feeling kind of overwhelmed, and the next I was standing in the middle of a huge desert…!!
It was dry and empty and way too quiet. No cars, no people, no music. Just sand and sky forever. It didn’t even feel scary, just kind of weird and heavy, like time stopped. Then I saw Him. Jesus…!!
He was sitting under this tiny tree, super calm like He’d been waiting for me. He smiled and said, “Come sit.” So I did. We didn’t talk right away. We just sat in the silence. And weirdly, that felt okay. Like I didn’t have to explain myself or pretend to be fine. I could just be..!!
.After a while, He asked how I was doing, and for once I actually said the truth. I told Him I was tired. Tired of pretending, tired of feeling not good enough, tired of carrying stuff no one sees…
He didn’t try to fix me or say something cheesy. He just listened. Then He said, “This place—the wilderness—it’s not punishment. It’s where you get stronger. It’s where you learn to hear God, not just noise.”I asked Him if He ever felt like this. He nodded and said, “Even I came here. I was tested and tired too. But My Father never left Me.”
That made me feel seen in a way I didn’t even know I needed. He got it. All of it.Before I left, He looked at me and said, “You don’t have to prove anything. You’re already loved. Just keep walking with Me.” Then I blinked and I was back in my room. Nothing outside had changed, but inside me? Everything had.
